Mann's Fresh-Cut Vegetables are a virtual powerhouse, full of vitamins and minerals the body needs to stay fit and
healthy. Our goal is to make eating fresh, nutritious, vegetables easy. Mann's Fresh-Cut Vegetables are washed and
ready to eat, and packaged in microwaveable bags for your convenience!
One Step Steam:
Place bag on microwave safe dish. Microwave on high for 3-4 minutes.* Remove dish from microwave.
Open bag carefully, vegetables will be hot and package will steam. Note: All Mann's Fresh-Cut Vegetable products are
microwaveable. Because of differences in microwave ovens, heating times may vary.
Cook Top:
Fill pan with approximately 1 inch of water. Bring to a boil. Take Mann's Fresh-Cut Vegetables out of the bag. Rinsing
them isn't necessary. Add vegetables to pan and cover. Steam until tender, yet crisp 3-4 minutes.
Roast:
Preheat oven to 400ƒ. Arrange Mann's Fresh-Cut Vegetables in a single layer on a baking sheet. Drizzle vegetables lightly
with extra virgin olive oil. Bake for 10 minutes, then turn vegetables over. Bake for an additional 10 minutes until crisp
and browned. Note: For Sweet Potatoes, boast for 20 minutes, then turn over and roast for an additional 15 minutes.
Blanching Instructions
You can freeze Mann's Sunny Shores fresh vegetables, however you must blanch them first. Following are instructions on how
to blanch the vegetables.
To Blanch:
Boil 2-6 cups of water (depending on bag size) in a large saucepan. Once at a boil, put vegetables into the water. Keep vegetables in the water for about 1-2 minutes. Remove the vegetables and strain in a colander. Rinse under cold, cold water or immerse in ice water - to stop the vegetables from cooking further.
Strain vegetables and pat dry with paper towels. Place into freezer safe container and use within the next 3 month for best quality.
