MANN PACKING COMPANY IS GEARING UP FOR ITS SWING INTO SPRING ON-PACK OFFER PROMOTION

Mann Packing Company is gearing up for its annual Swing Into Spring on-pack offer promotion.

Starting March 1, Mann will place instant redeemable coupons on 200,000 packages of 8 ounce Stringless Sugar Snap Peas and 6 ounce Snow Peas. The offer is good for $1 savings for any two packages of the Mann's products purchased.

This is one of eight on-pack offers Mann is planning in 2009 to incite trial and build sales of its cut-vegetable products.

"The data shows that this level of offer resonates with shoppers," said Lorri Koster, vice president of marketing.Ý "The timing - just before Easter - helps build volume and bring new shoppers into the category.Ý Last spring this coupon had an 18 percent redemption rate which is phenomenal."

Chinese New Year begins January 26th, celebrating the return of Spring and the Lunar New Year.
